Generous Poole accountancy and business advisory firm, Mazars, has chosen a local hospice at its Charity of the Year.
Poole hospice, Forest Holme, which enhances the quality of life of patients with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses will benefit from fundraising events which will be organized by the Corporate Social Responsibility Committee at Mazars.
Already a team of Mazars employees are in training for the first ever Green City Marathon taking place in Milton Keynes on 29th April with their sponsorship money going to the hospice.
Sandra Waring from Mazars says: “Forest Holme looked after Mazars friend and colleague Stephanie Penrose in her last few weeks before she died of cancer. Stephanie had worked for us as freelance photographer for many years. We feel that making the hospice Charity of the Year allows us to support a truly worthy cause in memory of Stephanie.”
Debra Dennett, fundraising manager with Forest Holme says: “We are absolutely thrilled that Mazars has chosen Forest Holme as their Charity of the Year. We look forward to working with the team throughout 2012 to raise vital funds for the hospice.”
