The official commercial radio partner of the Bournemouth Air Festival, Wave 105 is proud to announce 80’s and 90’s pop sensation Lisa Stansfield will join the Saturday night roster of stars performing at ‘Night Air at the Piers’, in association with Corona.
24 years after the hit single ‘All Around the World’ made her an international superstar, Lisa Stansfield is making a comeback with her seventh studio album titled ‘Seven’. Well-known for her soulful vocals, Lisa has sold 20 million records worldwide and won multiple Brits and Ivor Novello awards during her career.
The northern pop icon is an exciting addition to the ‘something for everyone’ host of top music acts, including The Loveable Rogues, Irish rockers Kodaline, Newton Faulkner, new girl band Neon Jungle and 80s pop icons Johnny Hates Jazz, which make up the Saturday night line-up.
With more stellar acts set to perform at the family friendly event on the Friday night (August 30), such as Blue, Westlife star Shane Filan, The Feeling, feisty girl band Stooshe and X Factor graduates Lucy Spraggen and Diana Vickers, it is gearing up to be a spectacular event.
Andy Shier, Wave 105’s programme director, said: “We can’t wait to welcome the legendary Lisa Stansfield, without doubt one of the top British singers of the last 25 years. She’ll be doing some of the songs which have made her famous but I’ve also heard her new material and it doesn’t disappoint. We think she’s a great addition to an already strong line-up.’
“As tickets are selling out fast for the event of the summer, we advise you to get yours now to avoid disappointment.”
Priced at £7, tickets are on sale via the BH Live website www.bhlivetickets.co.uk, with limited numbers left for each night. Gates open at Boscombe Pier each evening at 6pm, with the show running until 10pm (approx. times).
With a number of shows being broadcast live from the UK’s largest aviation event on Bournemouth beach on Thursday August 29 until Saturday August 31, Wave 105 will be covering all of the action, news, travel and weather on air, online and streaming the thrilling air displays live through Wave TV at www.wave105.com.
To add to the excitement, Wave 105 will be exhibiting within the air zone. The station will also bring along the Hop On Inn, a 1966 routemaster bus converted into a pub to form the Wave 105 Corona beach bar.
