Judging is underway for the best Bug Buster poster to grace the walls of AFC Bournemouth’s Goldsands Stadium next season.
AFC Bournemouth defender Simon Francis and Nuffield Health Hospital Director David McNair have begun the tough job of judging more than 100 entries from school children across Dorset, who participated in the AFC Bournemouth and Nuffield Health Bug Buster workshops.
The children were tasked with designing a poster to illustrate the lessons from the bug busting sessions regarding hygiene and the importance of washing hands thoroughly.
The lucky winner will have the chance to meet AFC Bournemouth players, win tickets to a game and see their winning poster in pride of place on the walls of the Goldsands Stadium.
David McNair, Nuffield Health Hospital Director, said: “It’s no easy undertaking as there are just so many entries; we’ve had to work hard to judge creativity against functionality, and gather together entries which we think exhibit something special.”
Player ambassador Simon Francis added: “We’re looking for something that reaches out and really gets across the message in a creative way. As a keen believer in health and fitness, hygiene plays a key role in everything that we do, and in public places this couldn’t be more important.”
Entries for the competition are now closed, and a winner is due to be announced imminently.
