Humphries Kirk, a leading solicitors firm with offices in Dorset and Somerset sponsored the Design Business Association’s Design Effectiveness Awards on Thursday February 12 at Tobacco Dock, London.

The awards celebrate and recognise the best application of design, rewarding collaborations that deliver for business.

Humphries Kirk sponsored the ‘Packaging – Structural’ category, which saw a Gold award given to Penhaligon’s and JKR’s Musical Christmas Box. Other winners on the night included Alloy, 2LK and Design Bridge – along with their clients BT, Intel and Carlsberg.

Deborah Dawton, Design Business Association Chief Executive, said: “It is fantastic to have Humphries Kirk on board supporting the Design Effectiveness Awards. They understand designers and provide specialist legal services to the industry, so they appreciate all the work that goes on behind the scenes of these agency-commissioner collaborations in order to achieve these outstanding business results.”

Darrell Stuart-Smith, commercial partner at Humphries Kirk, heads the team that advises the Design Business Association and many of its members. Darrell said, “We are very proud to have been a sponsor of the Design Effectiveness Awards in 2015. Our involvement with the Association goes back to its foundation and the work it does on behalf of its members has helped to lift the reputation of design coming out of the UK. The Awards highlight the importance and effectiveness of proper collaboration between designer and client and we are glad to be able to assist with that relationship.

Humphries Kirk provides legal expertise to business and private clients from across the country and has solicitors in Bournemouth, Parkstone, Poole, Swanage, Wareham, Dorchester and Crewkerne as well as consulting rooms in Wimborne, Yeovil and London.
