Dorset and Somerset solicitors Humphries Kirk LLP helped to raise £5,500 for Poole’s Lewis-Manning Hospice, a charity providing free specialist palliative nursing care to people across the county.
Humphries Kirk LLP was one of 25 law firms in the area which took park in the hospice’s ‘make a will fortnight’ scheme. The scheme was set up to not only raise funds for the charity, but to raise awareness about the importance of gifts in wills.

James Hammersley, associate solicitor at Humphries Kirk LLP said: “Having a will in place ensures your family, friends and any charities you care about are provided for in the way you wish.”

Humphries Kirk LLP offered to write standard wills for free in return for a donation to the hospice. Sally Goodenough, Legacies Fundraiser at Lewis-Manning Hospice said: “We really appreciate all the effort the solicitors put into raising so much for local people living with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses.”
