For the third year running, Humphries Kirk solicitors has celebrated the festive period in an eco-friendly way by decking its Dorchester office with a live Christmas tree from local business Trees for Rent.
The solicitors’ firm provides commercial legal advice to Dorchester-based Trees for Rent which offers people the chance to hire a fir tree for the festivities before re-planting them at its farm.
Humphries Kirk opted for this alternative, sustainable service to cut down on the use of plastic replica trees that are harmful to the environment.
Darrell Stuart-Smith, partner at Humphries Kirk, said: “We have been working with Peter Inch and Jo Hunt at Trees for Rent since they started in 2008 and they are a valued client of ours. We get so many compliments on our wonderful Christmas tree, it’s absolutely beautiful. We always aim to use local suppliers, wherever possible, and to find sustainable alternatives to help keep old traditions alive in the future.”
The trees grow between 6ft and 7ft and cost £99 to rent plus delivery.
Humphries Kirk also commissioned local designer Fresh Floral to hand-craft its decorations for the Christmas tree.
Humphries Kirk provides legal expertise to private and commercial clients, with offices in Poole, Parkstone, Southbourne, Swanage, Wareham, Dorchester, Crewkerne, Ilminster. The firm also has consulting rooms in Yeovil and London.
