Ferndown’s Haskins Garden Centre has spread a little festive cheer by donating four handmade Christmas wreaths to Forest Holme Hospice Charity.

The wreaths, each taking on a different Christmas-themed design, were created in house by Haskins’ garden experts as part of their series of ‘how to video guides’ aimed at helping improve the publics’ ability at creating special garden related displays.

Forest Holme Hospice Charity was selected by Haskins as its charity of the year. The charity helps to enhance the lives of adults across Poole, Wimborne and the Purbecks who face life limiting or terminal illnesses.

Alasdair Urquhart, plant advisor at Haskins Garden Centre, said: “We donated four of our best wreaths – Nordic, Woodland, Luxurious and Snowy to the hospice as we wanted to try to spread a little festive cheer to the staff and patients.”

Hannah Parsons, fundraising manager at Forest Holme Hospice Charity, said: “I’d like to thank Haskins on behalf of all the patients at Forest Holme for donating these wonderful wreaths. They’ll help create a homely environment during the festive period and bring comfort and normality over a difficult time.”

Haskins Garden Centres are located in Ferndown in Dorset, West End in Southampton and Roundstone and Snowhill in West Sussex. Full step by step guides on how to create the wreaths can be found on Youtube – Haskins Garden Centre.
