Tickets for the Dorset Business Awards gala dinner are being snapped-up quickly and a sell-out evening is expected, say organisers.
With tickets to attend this year’s prestigious Dorset Business Awards gala dinner selling quickly, organisers of the competition, Dorset Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and sponsors are urging the region’s businesses to act fast if they wish to witness the glittering 2015 celebrations. 11 companies will be put in to the spotlight and presented with an Award on the evening.
In association with the Daily Echo and Dorset Echo, the Dorset Business Awards gala dinner will be staged in the Windsor Hall at the Bournemouth International Centre on Thursday November 26, enabling up to 800 of the region’s business people, dignitaries, MPs and press to enjoy the county’s largest and most prestigious business event.
Hosted by respected broadcaster and journalist, Jonty Bloom, the Awards evening promises all the excitement and glamour that businesses have come to expect from this Oscars-style celebration. Jonty currently works as business correspondent on national radio and TV as well as online, covering the latest economic, business and industry stories – from the workings of the EU to the rise of pound shops.
Known as one of the most respected correspondents, Jonty reports on business and economics stories on the radio and for national and international TV. He has covered the Greek crisis, the Eurozone since its launch, EU summits and the impact of terror attacks on the world’s stock markets. An award winner himself, Jonty’s reports have twice won him the Wincott Foundation Award for Radio Programme of the Year and he has also been the Royal Statistical Society’s Journalist of the Year.
Ian Girling, chief executive of Dorset Chamber of Commerce and Industry, says: “The Awards dinner is a great opportunity to celebrate some very worthy winners, but it’s also a fantastic opportunity for the best businesses across every industry sector to meet each other. We’re delighted to welcome Jonty Bloom as host for the evening. He will provide a great insight in to the national and international business world.”
The Awards are also backed by the south’s leading radio station Wave 105 and the Awards website, www.dorsetbusinessawards.co.uk, is sponsored by RT Media.
