Bournemouth Air Festival’s official commercial radio partner, Wave 105, is proud to announce Afrobeat act, Fuse ODG, as the latest artist who will be performing on the ‘Night Air at the Piers’ stage at Boscombe Pier, Friday August 21.

The Ghanaian UK-based artist, who has collaborated with Sean Paul and Wyclef Jean, has had four top ten singles in the last 18 months including ‘Antenna’, ‘Dangerous Love’ (f.t Sean Paul) and ‘T.I.N.A’ (f.t Angel), with new single ‘Top Of My Charts’, which is to be released by 3 Beat on September 4.

The triple MOBO award-winning artist will perform as part of the ‘pop night’, where he will appear alongside pop-rock outfit Lawson, famed for hits ‘Roads’ and ‘Juliet’, chart-toppers Scouting for Girls with indie-pop classics ‘She’s So Lovely’, and ‘I Wish I Was James Bond’. As well as Britain’s Got Talent judge Alesha Dixon performing her summer hit, ‘The Way We Are’, and singing sensation Sarah Harding, who  will perform her debut solo single ‘Threads’. Tickets are priced at £12 per head for Friday evening.

Held over three nights – Thursday 20, Friday 21 and Saturday 22 August, ‘Night Air at the Piers’ promises a weekend of superb live acts guaranteed to thrill audiences.

HM Royal Marines Band Collingwood will start the proceedings on Thursday August 20 with their unique proms performance of sea-inspired music, ‘Power from the Sea’. Tickets are priced at £15 per head with £10,000 hoped to be raised by ticket sale contributions for service charities benefitting from the Royal Marines Charitable Trust Fund (RMCTF).

Saturday 22 will see a brand new night take to the stage – ‘Take Off! A jet propelled journey through 25 years of dance music’. Hits from 1990 to the present day will mix with live performances and DJ sets highlighting some of the most enduring dance tunes of the past two decades. Audiences will be treated to sounds from Livin’ Joy featuring Luzahnn, Black Box, four-time Ivor Novello Award winner Artful of Artful Dodger fame, Grammy nominated K-Klass, and current chart star Karen Harding. Tickets for Saturday’s party are priced at £12 per head.

In addition to the Night Air events, people will be able to enjoy a multitude of thrilling air spectacles. Set over four consecutive days, the festival will see appearances from a multitude of awe-inspiring air feats, from the mighty Red Arrows to the roar and thunder of the Typhoon and Vulcan; supported by an armada of Royal Navy ships in the waters off the shore.
