English vineyard and winery Furleigh Estate has a multitude of reasons to celebrate, as its award-winning sparkling wine has been added to the wine lists of a raft of top London restaurants including La Trompette in Chiswick, Mark Hix’s six London restaurants and Gordon Ramsay’s Bread Street Kitchen.

Situated in Salway Ash in West Dorset, this former dairy farm grows a variety of vines on the south-facing slopes of the estate, including Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier grapes, which are used to produce its classic quality sparkling wine and Bacchus and Rondo grapes, which produce fine, still wines.

Rebecca Hansford, owner of Furleigh Estate, said: “We may be a small business, but our product speaks volumes and has opened doors for us at some of the capital’s finest establishments. We are especially proud that our Classic Cuvée sparkling wine is to be sold by the glass at the Michelin starred La Trompette and are confident that it is the perfect aperitif to enjoy before a meal on a warm summer evening.”

In addition to La Trompette, the Bread St Kitchen and the Hix restaurants, Furleigh Estate wine is stocked by selected Waitrose stores, Selfridges and the World Duty Free shops at Gatwick, Heathrow and the Eurotunnel. It’s also available at other great hotels and restaurants, including Chewton Glen Hotel & Spa in Hampshire, Summer Lodge in Evershot, Dorset, River Cottage HQ in Axminster, Devon and The Savoy Group in London.

For those wanting to taste Furleigh Estate’s wine at the source it was produced, the vineyard and winery are open to the public for tours and tastings every Friday and Saturday throughout the summer. For more information or to book, email info@furleighestate.co.uk  or phone 01308 488991.
