The tranquil waters of an 18th century English estate in Lymington, Hampshire are the new home for SUP at Windfest Re-Tuned on 14-16 September 2012.
Untouched and natural, the extensive private lake of Pylewell Park on the edge of the New Forest, as well as the open waters of the Solent, provides the perfect environment for both novice and advanced paddleboarders.
After 13 years in Dorset, Windfest has evolved to a full three-day festival offering camping, yurts and bell tents while maintaining its unique sports USP. This year incorporates approximately 14 land and watersports for professional showcases and have-a-go sessions for all age groups.
The expansive grounds are allowing new sports to feature at Windfest for the first time, including Yoga classes on land and SUP Yoga on the water. Few sports challenge your core strength and focus like this one!
Gary Willingham, organiser and founder of Windfest, said: “We are pleased to be working with BSUPA once again to provide our festival goers with a unique experience not found at any festival in the UK. Open New Forest fields, ancient oak trees with access to the open sea will enable a weekend of paddleboarding, kite flying, kayaking, mountain bike trails, slacklining, skateboarding and much more.
“We want the festival to be an active, healthy, family-friendly and sports-driven escape to the countryside – with good music, food, comedy, silent discos and loads of other entertainment in a safe and relaxed environment.”
Tickets are available from www.windfest.co.uk with special offers for group bookings. Camper vans are also accepted.
