Haskins Garden Centre in Ferndown, has selected Poole’s Forest Holme Hospice as its charity of the year for 2016.
This is the second time that Haskins has selected the hospice as their chosen charity of the year, with the green-fingered team raising £4622.55 in 2015. The team has set its sights for 2016 by aiming to beat last year’s total. Simon Hallam, centre manager at Haskins’ Garden Centre said: “Forest Holme Hospice is a charity which plays an important role to many people in the local area and we are keen to continue our support throughout the year.”

 

Hannah Parsons, fundraising manager at Forest Holme Hospice, said: “We really value the support and donations from local businesses. The team at Haskins are a great bunch of people to work with and their contribution will be valuable in helping us to achieve our fundraising goals for year.”
Forest Holme Hospice aims to enhance the quality of life for patients with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses. The charity requires £500,000 in voluntary donations each year to ensure that it can continue to be a centre of excellence for specialist end of life care in Poole, Wimborne and the Purbecks.
