The Poole office of international accountancy and business advisory firm, Mazars, is launching a series of Business Briefings aimed at keeping financial professionals working in business up to date with recent developments.

Mazars partner David I’Anson explains: “Our Business Briefings, the first of which takes place on 6th March, will be a must-attend, one-stop shop for financial professionals who can hear expert speakers from Mazars and other advisors talk on a broad range of current topics.

The first Business Briefing sees numerous experts from the Mazars team offer help and advice on matters ranging from changes to UK accounting standards to the patent box scheme. Guest speaker is David Ashplant , partner with Lester Aldridge solicitors, who will give his views on matters including the legalities regarding Cloud Computing.

The Business Briefing is a free event and includes breakfast and the opportunity to network with other financial professionals from the business community.

David I’Anson added: “The Business Briefing seminars are designed to be short, snappy and most importantly useful. There’s lots of clutter out there when it comes to financial matters and legislation and the same issues are being repeatedly discussed, often requiring attendance at subject specific seminars.

“At our Business Briefings, there will be fresh topics every time, providing a useful overview for all as well as the opportunity for individuals to go into more depth on matters of specific interest. In response to feedback, we know that busy professionals don’t want seminars impacting too much on their working day. These breakfast briefings are designed to give an overview within just a couple of hours and will provide an insight to topics they can take away and use immediately in their businesses.”

• The Business briefings will take place in March, July and September.
