The winners of the Dorset Business Awards 2014

The wait is finally over for businesses across the region as the judges reveal the finalists who made the grade for the 2015 Dorset Business Awards, in association with the Daily Echo and Dorset Echo and the South’s leading radio station Wave 105.

More than 30 judges have deliberated over 139 entries to select the top Dorset companies who have made the prestigious shortlist. The region is abuzz with business as this year’s high calibre finalists stretch from Poole to Portland, Sherborne to Bournemouth and Christchurch to Dorchester – highlighting the importance of the Awards to Dorset’s business community.

The winning firms will be announced at the Hollywood glamour-themed Gala Dinner Awards ceremony at the Bournemouth International Centre on Thursday November 26. Hosted by respected broadcaster and journalist, Jonty Bloom, the evening will comprise a drinks reception, followed by a sumptuous three-course dinner and a private after-party at 1812 Bar & Restaurant.

Entertainment for the night will be provided by Neive Jordan, a talented performer with an exceptional voice who will set the scene for a memorable evening. A prestigious Dorset Business Award trophy will be presented to the 11 worthy winners while the other finalists will receive a bottle of award-winning, Dorset based Furleigh Estate sparkling Classic Cuvee.

Ian Girling, Chief Executive of Dorset Chamber of Commerce and Industry, says: “We are delighted with the high standard of entries to this year’s Awards. Our new addition to the award categories ‘The VoIP Unlimited Business Engagement with Education Award’ has proven businesses in Dorset are supporting the workforce of tomorrow.

“The new Hays Team of the Year award has seen a great volume of entries, demonstrating people’s belief in the importance of an effective team to the success of a business. Entrepreneur of the Year has also seen a similar return in enterprising applications making this year a difficult one for the judges!”
