Earlier this week I was invited to attend CIPR’s Meet the Professionals event at Southampton Solent University.
It was a privilege to attend the event and give the PR students an insight into the professional world of PR. I was so pleased to return to Southampton Solent University, having graduated from there in 2008 with BA Hons Journalism.
Meeting so many eager students was really refreshing – they were all looking for advice on the best ways to break into the PR world. I shared my story about my journey into PR and explained that a career can be achieved with pure hard work and determination, combined with knowledge and practical experience.
It was really beneficial to meet lots of like-minded fellow PRs and academics from the region.
