The Wave 105 Cash for Kids Easter egg appeal ended on a high with the station’s listeners donating 2,400 chocolate eggs, worth £10,000.
The Easter eggs were divided between worthy causes in the south including Social Services, local hospitals, women’s refuges, and disadvantaged children’s centres.
Taking place from March 12 until March 31, listeners were asked to drop off chocolate egg donations to their nearest Sainsbury’s store or Letco Lettings office.
Wave 105 Cash for Kids charity manager, Gloria Hill, said: “We have once again been left astounded by the generosity of our listeners as we have collected an extra 500 Easter eggs than last year. The appeal meant that Wave 105 Cash for Kids could reach many disadvantaged children in the south and made Easter that little bit more special for them.”
