Bournemouth-based The Drewitt Group has completed a contract to provide the mechanical and electrical services for Stewarts Garden Centres’ new warehouse in Christchurch.

Staff from the group’s mechanical division, Drewsons, and its electrical division, Drewlec, completed work on the new Stewarts’ warehouse and office accommodation. Included in the package of works was the design of electrical and mechanical systems, fitting of all electrical wiring, LED lighting and data wiring as well as air conditioning, underfloor heating, hot and cold water supplies, sanitary ware and ventilation to provide a modern working environment with high energy efficiency.

Main building contractor Greendale Construction was keen to engage with a local supplier, such as the Drewitt Group, which could undertake the entire responsibility of the mechanical and electrical project from design through to installation as well as provide the best possible advice to the client throughout the project.

Richard Drewitt, joint managing director at The Drewitt Group, said: “The Drewitt Group dates back to 1877 so it’s fantastic to work for another long-established family company such as Stewarts. We feel it’s important to work with firms who have similar values as us and we look forward to collaborating with the Stewarts on this exciting project.”

The Drewitt Group combines Drewlec Electrical Services, Drewsons Building Maintenance and Drewsons Mechanical Services. To view a video of the project please visit www.drewittgroup.co.uk
