The Dolphin Shopping Centre in Poole recently welcomed LUSH to its Eco Hub to offer free workshops and product making sessions to members of the public.
Visitors to the Eco Hub were also treated to complimentary hand and arm massages by LUSH and plant pots were provided to encourage people to plant their own seeds to take away with them.
Facilitated by LUSH, the workshops raised awareness of their vegetarian and cruelty-free cosmetics and people were given the opportunity to turn old bottle top lids into LUSH keyrings. A range of recyclable materials were on display to encourage sustainability in the local area and to offer further information about the different types of recycled material used by LUSH.
John Grinnell, centre manager at the Dolphin Shopping Centre, commented: “We were thrilled to welcome LUSH to our Eco Hub for a weekend of fun and interactive workshops. We had such good feedback from visitors and all the children really enjoyed getting their hands messy with the product making sessions.
“Our Eco Hub is all about encouraging sustainability through innovative workshops and we would like to thank LUSH for delivering these sessions in our creative learning space.”
The Eco Hub is the shopping centre’s creative space which supports community projects and aims to encourage sustainability.
John Grinnell added: “The Eco Hub is a great opportunity for people to use the dedicated in-centre space for workshops and exhibitions. We encourage other project leaders to get in touch with us to find out more about using the free community space.”
The Eco Hub launched earlier this year as part of the Dolphin’s ongoing commitment to sustainability and is located in the lower mall of the centre. It is open during the centre’s regular opening hours and is free to use. Email firstname.lastname@example.org with any booking enquiries.
