The Dolphin shopping centre in Poole will be rounding off its free summer entertainment this Saturday (August 24) by hosting a vibrant arts event in partnership with Poole Lighthouse.

Its final ‘Best of Poole’ event will kick off at 11am and finish at 4pm with a selection of art and craft workshops on offer to families.

As well as free face painting and entertaining street dance performances, children can design and take home their own canvas, enter a competition to win a canvas from the centre’s Canvas Printing Company, plus shoppers can put their artistic talents to the test and help create a piece of community artwork.

Poole Lighthouse will also be offering children packets of ‘magic beans’ to grow their very own beanstalk in time for this year’s pantomime, Jack and the Beanstalk, starring Debra Stephenson and Patrick O Kane.

John Grinnell, centre manager, said: “We’ve had a great response to the ‘Best of Poole’ events that the Centre has held throughout the summer holidays, it’s been fantastic to see families making the most of the free entertainment that has been on offer. I’m sure lots of shoppers will be in the Centre on Saturday for the final event with Poole Lighthouse.”
