Six employees working at Humphries Kirk LLP completed a pedalling challenge and raised funds for Cancer Research by cycling The Rotary Dorset Bike Ride in September.

The team, including three employees from the firm’s Dorchester office and three employees from the Swanage office raised more than £700, which will go directly to the charity which conducts research into the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer.

Jackie Whitton, Swanage Business Development Manager at Humphries Kirk LLP cycled 30 miles in the event. She said: “This was my first cycling challenge and I was delighted to be able to complete it. Cancer Research is a wonderful charity, it seems that everyone I speak to has been touched by cancer and this is just one way to raise money for research into a cure with the hope of finally beating this destructive disease.”

Paul Griffin, Consultant Solicitor and Notary Public also cycled 30 miles, he said: “I have lost friends and relations to cancer over the years and this event seemed a worthwhile way to raise funds to help combat this devastating illness.”

Chris Reeves and Rachel Maltby from the Dorchester office cycled 60 miles each and their colleague Natasha Cross and the firm’s partner Robin Rowland also cycled 30 miles.
