Over the last few months we have been working alongside a lovely, family run business called Create Gift Love, who have helped us turn our positively outrageous ideas into a reality. Most recently this includes our exclusive ‘In Bed With Ted’ THAT Group event hosted by the Hilton Hotel, in Bournemouth as well as bespoke media packs for our clients; The MacGuffin Project and Focal Point Fires.

Developed in the back garden shed, husband and wife duo Tony and Emily Carr started the handmade gift company by chance after Emily’s wooden cufflinks went down a treat with family and friends at Christmas. Now producing more than 300 products in their warehouse in Ringwood with a team of 10 employees behind them, Create Gift Love is celebrating it’s 5th Birthday!
We were asked by our friends at Create Gift Love to help them put together and manage an exclusive guest list for their birthday celebration, an event which would tell the couple’s inspiring story to a select crowd in an intimate setting. The aim of the event being to help raise awareness of the brand to the local business community and bloggers.

When planning the guest list a key objective of ours was to fill the room with the right people, those who would later go on to use the business for custom-made corporate orders as well as those who would buy from the company on a B2C basis. It was important that the event kept an intimate feeling and reflected the family atmosphere Create Gift Love itself promotes.
We collated a tailored list of bloggers, mumpreneurs, local businesses and social influencers to send out handmade wooden invites, designed and produced bespokely by Create Gift Love. These went had a great response and gave our guests a taste of what was to come at the event.

The event was held on a sunny morning at Urban Reef, Boscombe and our attendees were greeted with a gift from Create Gift Love alongside a selection of tea, coffee, juice and, of course, cake. The event was excellently scheduled by Create Gift Love Marketing Manager, Liz Deans. After a chance to mingle and browse a few of their beautiful products, Tony and Emily Carr explained to the room about their journey of how pharmacist turned business woman Emily, with the help from husband Tony turned her hobby into a brand now in the exclusive best seller’s list on the website, Not on the High Street. They told of how the last five years have been nothing less than a whirlwind having got married, set up the business, moved the business and had two children all since those first wooden cufflinks were produced by Emily.

They openly shared the highs and lows of starting and running a business and truly inspired the room before beginning a ‘Q&A’ session. The couple engaged with the audience and gave them the chance to ask, what turned out to be, remarkably superb questions on topics ranging from business plans to materials sourced to childcare.
It really was a fantastic, successful morning with great people celebrating a great business (with irresistible cake!) and we were very proud to be a part of it. Thank you to everyone who came and a huge thanks, and congratulations, to Tony, Emily, Liz and everyone at Create Gift Love. We wish you all the best for the future and cannot wait to work with you again soon in the near future.
