Recent news reports have stated that Britain’s manufacturers are experiencing a strong start to the year and are confident about the outlook, according to the latest findings from the manufacturers’ organisation EEF and the accountancy firm BDO. In addition, measures of recruitment and investment intentions are at a higher level than in the final quarter of last year.

Having recently celebrated 20 years in the industry, Bournemouth-based window fabricator Connaught Windows is echoing the industry body’s positive findings and enjoying significant growth for the first quarter, giving this family business the confidence to fulfil its investment and recruitment plans.

Linda Witczak, managing director of Connaught Windows said: “We have seen a recent increase in demand for our products across a wide range of projects, from home improvements to new builds. The last two months of 2013 saw a 15 percent growth and we added one new member of staff.

“2014 has continued to look bright, with the celebration of our 20th anniversary, an investment in two new delivery lorries which will be used for national, and a more focused approach to brand building.”
