A record number of people visited ODEON Dorchester based in Brewery Square over the last 12 months. 2015 was a highly successful year, increasing attendance level by over 50 per cent from 2014 and doubling the 2013 figure.

ODEON Dorchester was fourth for market share growth across the ODEON brand and the cinema’s top grossing film was Spectre, closely followed by Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Inside Out. The latest Star Wars instalment shattered box office records, rising to second place after only 15 days of release.

The cinema has a busy year ahead with a variety of blockbuster movies due to be released, including Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Alice in Wonderland: Through the Looking Glass, Finding Dory and Bridget Jones’ Baby. 2016 will also show a variety of alternative screenings and live events at the cinema.

ODEON Dorchester credits its successful footfall to a variety of factors, including its competitive pricing structure which sees ticket prices start from £3.50 every day. Snacks are equally affordable, the most popular offering being the Family Mix for £9.99 (one medium popcorn, two medium drinks and two Kids Mix’s (popcorn, drink and sweets).

Alan Escott, general manager at ODEON Dorchester, said: “We have a lot to look forward to in 2016. In addition to a fantastic range of films hitting our screens, the next phase of the Brewery Square development is underway, encompassing new retail outlets and apartments.”
