Buckholme Towers School and Nursery on Commercial Road, Lower Parkstone, Poole provides education for children from two years and nine months, up to twelve years old.
Buckholme was founded in 1939 and the motto ‘happiness through education, education through happiness’ has underpinned the school’s ethos ever since. With small classes operating in a ‘family’ environment, pupils are nurtured to achieve outstanding results, with a high percentage of students achieving beyond expectations and gaining places at grammar schools.
The school offers many extracurricular activities for all ages and abilities such as sailing, orchestra, drama and dancing, ensuring pupils are provided with plenty of opportunities to excel.
Supporting people less fortunate than ourselves, whether through fundraising for charities or helping local community clubs, is high on the agenda for everyone at Buckholme Towers. This year alone, pupils have already raised over £1,500 for the needy, many of whom are in or around Poole and Bournemouth.
Children leave Buckholme, successful in all sorts of ways. They are well rounded individuals with a ‘can do’ approach to learning. They are taught to grasp opportunities with both hands and appreciate and use the skills they have acquired to the best of their ability.
