To celebrate the launch of the new 17 registration plate, the Breeze Volkswagen team held a midnight handover event at their Tower Park showroom.

From 11pm on Tuesday February 28, customers were invited to enjoy music and refreshments in the showroom as paperwork was finalised and the new cars were introduced. As it was Shrove Tuesday, local company ‘Sweet’n Me Up’ served fresh Dutch pancakes from its vintage 1975 Volkswagen van.

After the countdown to midnight, owners were led through to the workshop where all 29 cars were prepared to leave the dealership. All customers received a commemorative photo and a bottle of Champagne.

Nick Rees, general sales manager at Breeze Volkswagen, said “It’s one of the two biggest days of the year in any car dealership’s calendar – the day the registration plate number changes. This is the first time we have hosted a midnight handover and we’re delighted it was such a success. Thank you to all our customers for their support and for making it such a great atmosphere.”
