Tower Park-based motor dealership Breeze Volkswagen has strengthened its support of events in Dorset by adding a unique road trip adventure, the Eurorally 33, to its partnership portfolio for 2012.

Organised by Charity Road Trips to raise money for a series of children’s charities, the inaugural Eurorally 33 will kick-start in Wimborne on Saturday June 9 at 9am and will finish in Rome on Friday June 15.  Breeze Volkswagen has branded a Volkswagen Golf Cabriolet GT and supplied the vehicle to the event organiser which will be used as a marshal car.

From leaving the start line in Wimborne, the Volkswagen Golf will follow the rally throughout the seven day trip which will see the competitors visit Paris, Zurich, Bellagio, Portafino, Lucca, Siena and finally cross the finish line in Rome.

The Volkswagen Golf Cabriolet 1.4 TSI GT 160PS is finished in silver and is a fun open-top car.  On sale in the UK since last September, the Golf Cabriolet combines familiar Golf features with a sportier look and an electrically powered fabric roof which can be folded away in just 9.5 seconds.  With a strong engine and lots of standard kit, including front and rear parking sensors, climate control, automatic headlights and wipers, Bluetooth and front sports seats, the car will be ideal and comfortable for the organiser to use as a marshal car.

Ashley Platen-Mills, founder of Charity Road Trips, says: “We create unique adventures and our first-ever Eurorally is just one of the worldwide events the charity runs.  Breeze Volkswagen join an ever growing list of corporate sponsors, both national and multinational, and we would like to thank Breeze Volkswagen for its support in providing us with a vehicle which will be used as a marshal car – an integral part of any race.”

Nick Rees from Breeze Volkswagen adds: “We’re very pleased to be supporting the first-ever Eurorally 33.  It sounds an extremely exciting adventure, helping to raise important funds for children’s charities, and we wish all drivers the best of luck.”
