With order books fully open for Volkswagen’s new city car, the up!, Tower Park-based motor dealership Breeze Volkswagen has another reason to celebrate following the award-winning announcement that the vehicle has been named ‘Small Car of the Year’ ahead of its official spring 2012 launch date.
The new Volkswagen up! is the motor manufacturer’s smallest car to date and has been voted as ‘Small Car of the Year’ by the staff of UK’s best-selling motoring title, TopGear magazine, as well as the BBC’s ever-popular television show. Judges said the car “is the cleverest small car around today.”
With an exceptional, top five-star rating from Euro NCAP for vehicle safety, the Volkswagen up! offers space for four, the latest technology and highly economical engines. Priced from £7,995, and rising to £11,180, the up! will be available with two 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine options as well as a BlueMotion technology version; it will have three doors and three trim levels – Take up!, Move up! and High up! – plus a special edition, the up! black and up! white.
