To ensure that the automotive retailing group is always up to speed with the latest technology, Tower Park-based Breeze Volkswagen has appointed Lauren Clayton in the new role of Digital Marketing Executive.

Recognising that the online experience of car and commercial vehicle buying deserves as much attention as Breeze Volkswagen’s showroom sales journey, the motor dealership has taken on Lauren to work across its dealerships in Poole, Southampton and Portsmouth.

Reporting directly to managing director John Corderoy, Lauren’s main responsibilities include tapping into the latest trends on social networks such as Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn, ensuring that all offers and products are current and accurate on the firm’s website and other third party motoring sites, and producing regular electronic newsletters.

Lauren Clayton says: “My main role is to provide social media content and to help with digital strategy at a regional level. I am really looking forward to seeing the company grow digitally.

“A big part of my job is the recently introduced CitNOW video content, a 360 degree walk round of a car which we produce and can send to our prospective customers via email. CitNOW enables us to show specific parts of the car to give people the input they need to make an informed decision.”

She adds: “I am excited to have joined such a dynamic, friendly and enthusiastic team, as well as the respected Volkswagen brand.  I’m really looking forward to being involved in moving such a progressive company forward in the digital marketplace.”
