Tower Park-based motor dealership Breeze Volkswagen has completed a deal to supply more than 20 vehicles to one of the UK’s fastest growing award winning providers of business telecommunications systems, 4Com PLC.
The fleet of 23 Volkswagen Golf Estates will be used by the 4Com engineers while they visit clients across theUKto perform telecoms installations, upgrades and on-site maintenance.
Following a review into operating costs and its company car policy, 4Com re-evaluated its existing fleet and searched the market for a new vehicle that met all the product criteria they were looking for, including large boot space to accommodate tools, as well as a vehicle that was suitable for engineers to use as their own company car during weekends and evenings with their families.
It is 20 years since the original Volkswagen Golf Estate went on sale and this all-new model is bigger and better than ever. The boot space has been expanded by up to 100 litres, from the 505 litres of its predecessor to 605 litres, and it is also up to 105kg lighter. The Volkswagen Golf Estates supplied are 2.0 TDi GT models and include 85.6mpg BlueMotion technology, which help drivers to save money on fuel and cut down on CO2 emissions.
The cars include Bluetooth, DAB digital radio with 5.8-inch colour touchscreen, iPod connector, seven airbags, XDS electronic differential and an automatic post-collision braking system. These models also gain ADC automatic distance control with Front Assist and City Emergency Braking, 16-inch alloy wheels, rear map-reading lights, automatic lights and wipers, a Driver Alert System, driver profile selection, and a Pre-Crash preventive occupant protection system.
