As the official commercial radio partner of the Bournemouth Air Festival, Wave 105 is proud to announce ‘man band’ Blue, Ivor Novello nominated The Feeling, and up and coming Irish rockers, Kodaline, will all be part of an exciting line-up of live music at this year’s Night Air at the Piers, in association with Corona.

Wave 105 will thrill the crowds across two nights, Friday 30th August and Saturday 31st August, with a dozen top music acts at the Corona stage at Boscombe Pier, part of the Night Air entertainment of the festival.

The varied, family friendly line-up also features Stooshe, Gabriella Cilmi, and 80’s act Johnny Hates Jazz, with support from X-Factor graduates Diana Vickers and Lucy Spraggan and feisty new girl band Neon Jungle.  Plus, three more artists are set to be announced by the Wave 105 team over the coming weeks.

There are 6,500 tickets available for each night, which will go on sale at £7 per ticket this coming Saturday 27th July at 9am via the BH Live website.

Keith Penny, Wave 105’s event director, said: “After the huge success of our inaugural Night Air concerts last year at Boscombe Pier, we are delighted to be returning for 2013. We’re bringing a dozen big name acts with us, a bigger stage and improved sound system, for what promises to be two fantastic nights!

“We could have sold out twice over last year, so we’re anticipating huge demand once more! We’d recommend securing your tickets quickly for this fantastic value, family friendly complement to the Air Festival’s daytime programme.”

With a number of shows being broadcast live from the UK’s largest aviation event on Bournemouth beach on Thursday August 29 until Saturday August 31, Wave 105 will be covering all of the action, news, travel and weather on air, online and streaming the thrilling air displays live through Wave TV at

In addition to this, Wave 105 will be exhibiting with the air zone, an interactive game, alongside the Hop On Inn, a 1966 routemaster bus converted into a pub which will form the Wave 105 Corona beach bar.

Jon Brooks, commercial director at Wave 105, said “We enjoyed ourselves so much last year we have improved our offering throughout the entire Air festival for 2013. Our presence on the beach will be a superb spectacle and our Night Air concerts will be bigger and better than before. We are all really excited about the event which is the biggest of its kind supported by the South’s biggest radio station.”

Jon Weaver, Air Festival director, added: “The live music stage is a fantastic addition to an already award-winning Festival, and Wave 105 has put together another superb line-up this year.  We can’t wait to welcome them to Bournemouth and show why we are more than just an air show!”
