The Poole office of international accountancy and business advisory firm, Mazars, is warning employers with final salary schemes to be aware of the challenges ahead. These challenges include auto-enrolment, a new reporting regime for formal valuations and two major consultations on how liabilities are to be valued.

David I’Anson, partner with Mazars explains: “The pensions industry has gone through great change during 2012 and will continue to do so over the next few years. Employers with final salary schemes need to be aware of how some changes could be costly and also need to be able to manage the challenges this scheme will bring.”

In order to help local businesses do just that, Mazars is holding a free seminar for trustees of final salary schemes as well as representatives of companies who sponsor final salary schemes, including finance directors, CEOs and HR professionals.

The seminar takes place on Tuesday 26 February at Dudsbury Golf Club in Ferndown from 8.30am until 11am.

Key speaker is Margaret de Valois, Actuary and Lead Pensions and Investment Advisory with Mazars.

To register to attend this free seminar, which includes breakfast, contact Sandra Waring at Mazars on 01202 680777 or email: sandra@mazars.co.uk
