Four accountants from Poole are training hard for a new major marathon in Milton Keynes to raise funds for Poole hospice Forest Holme.
Lara Brennan, Chris Hodge, Paul Astin and Jamie Wearn all work for the Poole office of international accountancy and business advisory firm, Mazars.
They will be competing in a corporate relay marathon as a team against other firms including another nine Mazars teams from across the country.
The idea of the Corporate Relay Challenge within Milton Keynes’ first Green Marathon is to help promote a healthy workforce and build team spirit and camaraderie amongst colleagues and other businesses.
Whilst Chris Hodge and Paul Astin have both run marathons before, for Lara and Jamie, it is their first attempt.
Lara Brennan said: “We really wanted to do something for our chosen charity of the year which is Forest Holme as well as pitch our abilities against other Mazars offices.”
Forest Holme is a 10-bed hospice in Poole, dedicated to caring for patients with cancer and other life limiting illnesses
