Hamworthy Heating has signed up to a body of local firms dedicated to responding to climate change and promoting low carbon solutions.
The Wessex Energy and Environmental Management Group (WEEMG) is a force for environmental awareness in the local business community, keeping firms up-to-date with energy and environmental management issues through continuing professional development, specialist training, information exchanges and networking.
The group is a natural fit for Poole-based heating solutions giant Hamworthy Heating, which regularly provides engineers with continued development training sessions in energy saving and best practice.
Hamworthy Heating Technical Director Bob Walsh commented: “The WEEMG’s approach is very much in keeping with Hamworthy Heating’s own values. We offer a number of CPD seminars that are accredited by the Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers because we strongly believe this is one of the best ways to educate future managers on why green issues should inform business strategy.
“We look forward to working with other WEEMG members as part of a communal effort to minimise the environmental impact while improving the performance of local businesses” Bob said.
Members of the WEEMG recently attended the ‘Best practice heating and hot water refurbishment’ CPD along with a factory tour at Hamworthy’s head office in Poole.
