Home to the world’s first Peppa Pig World, Paultons Park has launched its new attraction for 2013 – a state-of-the-art, 150-seat 4D cinema – with a prestigious VIP red carpet event on Saturday March 23.

The family attraction, voted the country’s best theme park by the UK’s largest parenting website netmums.com, has invested £1.5 million into its brand new, art-deco theatre and 1930’s Hollywood-themed Show Street.

The ground-breaking 4D sensory cinema allows the audience to watch a movie in 3D while seated in specially-designed moving chairs that coincide with the action on the big screen. Additional features include water sprays, blasts of air, leg ticklers, and even bubbles!

The first feature film will take children, and their parents, to the high seas with Captain Scabb on a swash buckling adventure to find the legendary treasure of Skull Rock, which was crowned winner of the Best Children’s Animated Film award at the prestigious Stuttgart Film Festival.

Audiences will feel the sea spray, peer through the eerie mist, ride the high rolling waves and explore the depths of the bubbling ocean in this sense-tingling 4D family adventure.

Commercial director of Paultons Park, Stephen Lorton, said: “The 4D cinema is a great new addition to the Park for the 2013 season. We continually aim to improve the guest experience at Paultons Park and the 4D cinema provides fantastic indoor entertainment for the whole family.”

With more than 60 rides and attractions for all ages, top for thrills is the Park’s breath-taking ride, EDGE. Riders brave enough to take on EDGE will swoop and spin through the air reaching heights of up to 15-metres and speeds of up to 43 miles per hour. Other rides include the Raging River Ride log flume, family rollercoaster, The Cobra and, last year’s exhilarating new attraction, Magma.

The Hampshire-based Park is the exclusive home to the renowned Peppa Pig World. This amazing land lets youngsters discover Peppa’s World in nearly three acres of fully-themed fun. There are seven fabulous rides including; Miss Rabbit’s Helicopter Flight, Peppa’s Big Balloon Ride, Grandpa’s Little Train, George’s Dinosaur Adventure and kids can even ride in a ‘cloud’ around Windy Castle.

Younger children will love the garden-themed Trekking Tractors ride, Land of the Dinosaurs, Seal Falls, the Digger Ride, Jumping Jack, Tiny Tots Town and the Wonderful World of Wind in the Willows where characters from this classic story have their amazing adventures.

Paultons Park also has a wonderful collection of exotic birds and animals including meerkats, penguins and wallabies. All the rides and attractions are set in more than 140 acres of beautiful landscaped parkland on the edge of the New Forest National Park.
