Stars of Dorset Business – Dorset Business Awards 2015 from RT Brand Communications on Vimeo.

The search for the stars of Dorset business has begun following the launch of the 2015 Dorset Business Awards, in association with the Daily Echo and Dorset Echo, on Wednesday June 17.

More than 120 of the region’s business leaders descended on Kingston Country Courtyard, Swanage, to celebrate the launch and discover the categories for this year’s Awards. The previous year’s winners were also present to share pearls of wisdom for interested entrants on how to pick up the county’s most prestigious business accolade.

With the longest line-up of categories in the 21 year history of the Awards, as well as the biggest venue, the Hollywood glamour themed Dorset Business Awards is set to recognise and celebrate the superstars of Dorset business in true blockbuster style.

Organised by the Dorset Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and backed by the south’s leading radio station Wave 105, the Dorset Business Awards welcomes VoIP Unlimited to the roster of sponsors with the introduction of a new category ‘VoIP Unlimited Business Engagement with Education Award’, increasing the total to 11 Awards open for entry this year.

Recruitment specialist Hays has changed the name of its Award from employee to ‘Team of the Year Award’ to open up the category to recognise the hard work of a team of employees.

The 2015 categories and Award sponsors are:

• Business Engagement with the Community Award, sponsored by J.P. Morgan
• Business Growth Award, sponsored by Advanced Exchequer
• Dorset Export Award, sponsored by Atlas Elektronik UK
• Entrepreneur of the Year Award, sponsored by Bournemouth University
• Excellence in Innovation Award, sponsored by Dorset Chamber of Commerce and Industry and
Liz Lean PR
• Hays Team of the Year Award – new category
• Lester Aldridge and Santander Company of the Year Award
• Nuffield Health Excellence in Customer Service Award
• Princecroft Willis Family Business Award
• Retail Experience Award, sponsored by the Dolphin Shopping Centre
• VoIP Unlimited Business Engagement with Education Award – new category

Ian Girling, chief executive of Dorset Chamber of Commerce and Industry, says: “We are delighted to announce the 2015 Dorset Business Awards are officially open for entry from Wednesday June 17. With the addition of an eleventh Award category, there are now more Awards available to enter than ever before. We encourage all businesses across the county to enter and highlight to your clients, colleagues and competitors the areas in which your firm excels, your achievements and innovations which contribute to making Dorset an enterprising region for business.”

As the event increases in popularity, the Dorset Chamber of Commerce and Industry, made the decision this year to move the Awards ceremony to the largest hall in the Bournemouth International Centre, the Windsor Hall, to help fulfil the demand for tickets for the leading social event on the business calendar.

The Awards are free to enter and entrants can submit an entry via www.dorsetbusinessawards.co.uk, sponsored by RT Brand Communications, or print off an entry form and submit a paper-based entry by Friday September 11.  The Awards campaign will culminate in a prestigious gala dinner ceremony on Thursday November 26 at the Bournemouth International Centre.
