The Raging River Ride Log Flume is a big hit!
Almost like a real-life Charlie and the Chocolate Factory experience, an 11-year-old boy from the Newbury area won himself a job that every child will envy – a theme park ride tester.
Adam Willsher, from Curridge, joined the team at Hampshire-based Paultons Park on Saturday October 19 to fulfill his job as the Park’s official ride tester.
After beating thousands of other children in a competition, Adam got to spend an exclusive morning helping the Paultons team test the rides before it officially opened to the public and gain behind the scenes access to the Park, which is home to the world’s first and UK exclusive Peppa Pig World.
According to the theme park, Adam was “a committed thrill-seeker, with a strong stomach for heights.”
Adam said: “I love theme parks, this really is my dream come true, I am a theme park addict! Cobra and EDGE were by far my most favourite rides of the day. When I am old enough I would like to be a ride designer and experience rides all day long.”
